Leon Charles Moya
Born: May 8 1946
Trinidad, Las Animas County, Colorado
My connection to the Gurulé family, comes courtesy of my paternal Grandmother, Fulgencia Gurulé. My dad was also born in Trinidad, while his dad hails from Watrous, Mora County New Mexico. My mother was born in Brisbane, Queensland Australia and it was here that my parents met and married. That was during WW2.
I spent the first six years of my life in the USA, then the family moved here to Australia. I retired towards the end of 2001, after woking for the Administration of the City of Brisbane, for almost 22 years, the last 10 of those years in the IT Department.
My wife of 49 years (as of 2019) is Kay (Dunstan) and we have three children.
Jodie Nichole, Renae Michelle and Brett Lincoln.
Jodie has presented us with 3 beautiful grandsons, William (Billy) Peter in 1996, Fletcher John in 1998 and Samuel Arthur in 2001.
Daughter Renae married while working in the United Kingdom and now lives there permanently. Our english grandsons are, Noah Jack, born in 2001 and Will Harrison, born 2006.
Jacob Leon Moya, youngest and at 13years (as of 2019) is the tallest of all the boys. At 6ft 1in takes after his Dad Brett, though now has surpassed him.
I love being involved with genealogy but have to rely on others to help me with research. In return, I contribute using my knowledge of computers and the world of the Internet, by creating and maintaining Web Sites.
