Gurulé Cousins Corner
Biography:
Greetings from San Jose California to my Gurule cousins.
I was born in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1946 to Lily Sanchez and Francisco Orosco. By the age of 2 we moved to California. My Gurule connection comes from my great-grandmother Nemesia Gurulé, daughter of Cruz Gurule and Librada. My grandma Nemesia married Emelio Baca, and they eventually moved to Flagstaff. Their daughter Florinda Baca married Jose Sanchez, (my grandparents). My mother, Lydia Candelaria Sanchez (aka Lily) was born in 1916 in Albuquerque and is still living.
I am 63 years old, and have been married to Carlos V. Gallegos for 33 years. We both were previously married and each have one daughter from our previous marriages. We have no children from our marriage. My hubby is a retired machinist and I currently work for the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department in Human Resources.
