Census Information
In 2014, we posted the census records to the website. With online access to microfilm, many changes have been made over the years. More Gurulé families have been extracted, and records have been fixed, ages changed, and families rearranged.Sometimes a Gurulé is living with another family, and their information has been included. Keep in mind that census takers wrote down what they thought they heard, and there's quite a variety of spellings for the Gurulé surname. The spelling of the surname reflects how it appeared in the record. When handwriting was hard to read, names have been underlined to reflect "best guess" at what the spelling may have been.*Note:* Where census records have been tied to some of the families, the “family #” is included with the entry.
